“No. Our circumstances are the same, with a few differences. My Lord Aizen has been away for quite some time, however, I still remember his last orders to me. He has ordered me to protect Las Noches, and I will do so until the very end,” Ulquiorra responded, recalling that very day he was issued that order. Since then, he had made it his responsibility that Las Noches was run well. It would not do to slack in his Lord’s absence.
“The Sexta is known to indulge in a wide range of emotions. What is it about him that is different?”

“That is indeed strange. The Lord has not gave me orders to do anything, he had mysteriously vanished. None of the Espada’s know where he has disappeared to. Gin and Tousen do not know as well - if they did they won’t bother to tell. I do keep an eye on Hueco Mundo, so it does not pose a problem for myself.” A slight nod, but that was all to be said on that subject of matter.
“If you known wide range of emotions, they are rather violent. However I believe that ‘sadness’ and ‘misery’ aren’t any of them. The violent brute is not known to be so down.”

Ulquiorra listened to the other’s explanation in silence, his cold gaze revealing none of his thoughts. Watching how his likeness spoke of Jaegerjaquez in such a way (with interest. Muted interest, but interest, all the same)… Such a look on his likeness was unbecoming. While his likeness wore his usual stoic expression, Ulquiorra was observant enough to pick up on the other’s interest - they were one and the same, after all - from the way the subject at hand seemed to centre around the Sexta.
Though the detail was extremely minute, Ulquiorra’s eyebrows furrowed.
“Don’t allow the mood swings of a piece of trash to consume your thoughts,” Ulquiorra finally said. “It is quite unlike you to become absorbed in something so meaningless.”

“Do you not agree?”
